Wooden frame for punch needle

A re-usable wooden, canvas stretcher bar frame in two sizes 12" or 16".

This is a set of four professional hand-crafted kiln dried canvas stretcher bars, when connected together form a wooden frame. The stretcher bars are manufactured in the UK using European Redwood which is sustainably sourced providing FSC & PEFC forestry certifications. 

The corner joints are traditionally morticed, this along with high quality wood and stable manufacturing processes allows a tight corner fit every time.

When using a punch needle taut fabric is essential for allowing the needle to move smoothly through the fabric. Stretch your fabric tight over the frame and secure with staples or drawing pins. You can re-adjust as you punch, if necessary, to keep your fabric tight. Remove your project when you have finished punching to re-use the frame, or leave it attached and display.

You can secure your fabric to the frame using drawing pins, a staple gun or carpet tacks.

The listing is for a set of four stretcher bars. You will need to push these together to assemble the frame, you may need a mallet to help you.
